Job Description

The person will ensure that waterborne ships are fully prepared to embark on their voyages. He will provide technical solutions to engineering challenges for demo and trading vessels assigned to him on ports in India, Colombo, South East Asia, UAE etc. This position will work out of India and will provide a link between shore and ship-based management. This is an exceptional opportunity for a person that is poised for significant growth in the next 5 years.

Key Responsibilities

Overseeing and organizing the efficient operation of assigned fleet including but not limited to; ensuring sufficient crew and equipment, supervising ship captains, scheduling maintenance/inspections, compliance to Flag State and port state control, training seagoing personnel and conducting performance evaluations, monitoring deck supplies, conducting on board audits related to crew, safety and navigation and following up with closure reports.

Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 4 years of experience as a Master/Captain. Experience in Tankers is highly preferred. Flexible working during inclement weather and withstand rough water while onboarding ships. Excellent communications, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ambitious and self-motivated. Flexible with travel across various ports across the globe.
